It's the last day of 2008 here people. No more 17, i'm fucking 18, 'quite fucking legal age'. Yeah it really doesn't make much difference, i'm still a kid inside, you and i know it too well. =D Was thinking of changing clothing style and talked to a friend the other day, he said: 'bo ngam u la...c u talk n walk eh style u better wear back t-shirt short pants and nike shoe la.' I guess that's true friend. HAHA. What can i say, i still can't get over the fact that some of my friends got to meet the Power Rangers Mystic Force instead of me, and they didn't even take a photo with them!


I always thought that i'm confident with myself, like the know-all-the-facts guy, until last night. Apparently a close 'acquaintance' of mine had some cold hard 'comments' about me all along. I always knew i'm not perfect, but not THAT BAD. Duh. Shocked when she told me what she had to say about me. Almost cried too. Am i gonna change? Do i need to? Ahh fuck it. I'm not The Man Who Can't Be Moved.


Anyway happy for Liew Kun for getting damn good results. It's unexpectable for me too, i'd always expected u're gonna get straights since u worked so hard^^ Congratz anyway. But no chocolates.

Had a great day today, at least i don't need to share the microphone with the dudes who sing way better than me. LOL.

Sis is back, "great". Which means i don't get to use computer as often as i like anymore. UUURRRGHHH!!!!!!! But it's great to have her around, more laughters in the house. =D You don't need to have a big family to be a happy family.

Last few days are quite packed, now i'm like a heavy duty battery wearing out and using the last piece of electrolyte to write. I'm 36hours awake by the way, duh.

Well, it's not really a very good comedy, some laughs are just disguised. HEHE. But it really teaches a lesson, a rather light one but useful in life.

"DEXTER"

Dexter is an American TV series, here's a promo photo.:



Just finished Season1, it's very, very good. It is about a serial killer who also works as a blood spatter analyst, Dexter Morgan, who always has this urge to kill for blood, and his foster father taught him to channel his urge to do good things, killing bad guys to be exact, which makes him a vigilante. Dexter also has this problem where he can't seem to feel any emotions, and yet he succeeds in 'faking emotions'. Due to his dark little secrets, he tries to keep some distance from people around him, people who love him. Overall it's an intriguing drama that somehow reflects alot.

Recently mum said: 'u wan walk u better walk now la, ntg to do, dont wait til wan study again only walk, u walk now i wont say anything la.' (in Hokkien, walk kinda means having a relationship) Funny how kids these days like to oppose moms, just when she gives me some approval, i start losing interest in dating, and i was like @_@ to her. Guess i just like being alone, after all these tiring and mind-blowing experiences, it actually feels good just having guys around. Something like this :

Had this mini concert in school hall today, and it was 'ok'. Not in a sarcastic way, just 'ok'. It felt a little weird to just wipe our own asses and leave after our band's concert, odd to be part of the audience i suppose. Eventually we ended up at McD and kapsiao-ed till like 12something. It's cool to update each other once in a while. =D

Well the year is gonna end soon, and i've made up a playlist of songs which have been constantly running through my head for the whole year.


1. Jason Reeves --Never Find Again
Don't know where i got this from, but this guy sounds pleasing. The song is about some guy trying to comfort some girl, it's all sweet.

2. 南拳妈妈 -- 下雨天
"下雨天了怎么办我好想你" (it's raining,what can i do, i miss you.) The 1st line sung by her super sweet voice completely overwhelmed me.

3. John Mayer -- Comfortable
Who 'blues' the guitar better than John Mayer? The song Comfortable is about this guy sleeping with this perfect new girl, yet he misses his old ex who's imperfect but gave him just the feelings he needed. Sounds familiar huh?

4. Yellowcard -- You and Me and One Spotlight
Yellowcard's songs always seem high-school-sweetheart to me, lyrics are always perfect love stories with Ryan Key's powerful voice as lead vocal. This particular song is about....something i can't really interpret?I'm cool with it anyway.

5. One Buck Short -- Khayalan Masa
One Buck Short is a local punk rock band(i'm Malaysian), the band's name is funny. There are lots of local bands out there, they all doing great music, my recommendation : Estranged, Hujan, OAG. This song is about some guy been waiting to tell some girl how he's feeling bout her for a long time and they finally got together. Support kugiran tempatan!

6. 五月天 -- 突然好想你
Amused by their songs lately, must have been fun for these guys playing their songs together.

7. 卢广仲 -- 一百种生活
Dude looks like a nerd, something like @_@. He's talented anyway, so what the hell.

8. Panic At The Disco -- Nine in the Afternoon
These guys sound too similar with Fall Out Boy, but they're fun to watch, no one's that fat like FOB's lead vocal. Talk about prejudgement based on appearance. Nine in The Afternoon is a song dedicated by PATD to themselves, about the fun playing together. MV is nerdy.

9. Simple Plan -- I Can Wait Forever
1st line : 'You look so beautiful today'. It's quite beautiful, Simple Plan still rock as usual.

10. Maroon 5 -- Goodnight Goodnight
Pretty much everything i always wanted to say. Adam Levine has the sweetest voice ever.

Been addicted to Heroes lately. I mean, I finished Season 1 and Season 2 in 3days, it sounds more like obsession than addiction to me. When Heroes first came out i was really reluctant to follow the series, because everybody's loving it, and i was kinda like an electron guy who loves to flow against the current. But turns out it's really great. Put aside the super powers which i still wish i can have, there's really a great deal of human philosophy in it. Like finding your purpose in this world, discovering people's imperfectness, and how one's doing affect the others. Recommended for those still finding their purpose in holidays, those like me.

Fetched mum around this afternoon and went Sunway. Sadly when we needed to go up the parking lot she said :"Get out of the car you son of a bitch i don't think you can handle it!" Obviously i made that up but u get my point. Of course i would've done that too if i was in her place, damn i nearly crushed someone's "car door" earlier. LOL.

Been having a strange mood lately, like depression(not sure how to define that). It feels like you have nothing to do, nothing to live for. Even Hiro Nakamura has to save the world. And i'm sitting here watching time flies, doing nothing. Feel sad for unknown reasons, depressed, want to talk about it to someone, anyone, but don't really feel like connecting to anyone. Some things you can't tell to some friends, it really sucks. Nobody's there for you. Well i'm really repelling at times. Kinda trying to hold back when you're too close to someone, afraid of opening up, but can't really figure out what u're scared of. I guess i really need someone to understand me, coz i don't really understand me anymore.

Saturday : We had this band farewell party and it was all...wet, damn wet. Clearly water balloons or the thing that can burst when u pull it is not our thing anymore, we're not high school kids anymore. It's sad some of us can't make it, gonna miss the time playing music together!

Sunday : Went aunt's house at Batu Feringhi and she gave me some books. EVIL books, heh. Then we went pacific and i bought a book again...(Well it's Wednesday now and there's not any of my fingerprints on the pages)

Monday : Finished downloading Heroes season1 and watched till 5am. Hiro Nakamura is cute!

Tuesday : Finally got my liscence.......(or isit too late for that?) Found someone quite interesting, she uses profanity and doesn't come off bitchy. XD

Oh, and happy birthday to the cutest and sweetest class monitor ever, Wanxin(9/12)!! Tho i said that one too many times already...

Viewed someone's blog just now and i gotta say i'm flattered again..=] Well this guy is your typical blogger, he literally cares about blogs like i care about my Yu-Gi-Oh cards. In his blog he stated:突然发现他的部落格都写得很好（用英文的哦），文笔都很好，
LOL... It's only because typing in Chinese kills me, and it eats up a lot of my 'precious times'.

I get that a lot from people, but my marks are always disappointing. =.=

Finally a true statement. I don't really have much 优点 these days, every one is good at everything...zz. Sometimes you feel like finding your field, like something you're the best in. When you finally found it you realize there's always someone who tops you and you move on to find another field. This procedure is repeated continuously and at times you feel tired, you sit down, thinking back. Then it suddenly comes to your mind that you never really achieved anything, at all. The reason you don't give all in to a single field is that the thought of failure in that single field bugs you. So at least having another field as a spare won't get you too drown.

Can music change people's life?

Is there any song that can get you to totally forget about what you're doing and just sing along? Or is there a song that breaks you into tears just every time you listen to it? Or is there any song that keeps you motivated when you're procrastinating?

Everyone has his/her own musical taste, some like it hot, some like it slow, some like it smooth, some like it disturbing. Well I'm virtually up to every genre except COUNTRY music. No offense but it's really not my 'thing'. The late Buddy Rich (prolly the best drummer ever lived) once been asked by a nurse if he's allergic to anything. He replied: "Yes, country music!"

Well here's my favourites of 2008 :-


Jay Chou
I bet all of my friends know me well enough to know that i'm a big fan of Jay Chou. His songs are simply irresistable and his talents are unbeatable. His rap tracks, love ballads, zhongguofengs are just the best in Mandarin pop scene right now. (call me biased or something, after all i only listen to Jay's music when it comes to Chinese) One special feature of all his songs is that he never used a single English word in the lyrics. Probably Vincent Fang doesn't study English much, but that's one of the many things which makes his songs special and full of soul. Latest album is great, tho i don't really fancy those 'magic' stuffs, i guess deep down he's still a kid who doesn't like underwears. LOL. Favourite songs are : 搁浅 and白色风车. Actually all his songs have been my favourite!

She's cute, super cute. She rarely smiles in videos and covers coz she thinks she'll look chubby XD Here's some pics of her :


My dream girl~~~~~
Her songs are ...umm, inspiring i guess. They are mainly based on guitars and most of the songs sound nice when played acoustic. Also a big talent, she wrote all her songs. 3 albums so far and they sold quite big in Japan. Anyone who never heard of this girl should definitely check her out. You'll be amazed. And she's like 22 or something. Favourite songs are: Merry Go Round, Happy Birthday To You You, and Tokyo, etc.


Secondhand Serenade

Secondhand Serenade is actually a project made by John Vesely(the guy in pic) and it's not a band. His songs are mainly acoustic rock, and yeah he's writing all his songs too. I only fall for singer-composers. =] I 1st got attracted to him when i listened to my sis' MP3 and his super strong vocal killed me instantly! Anyone can really relate to his songs and connect. He's really great with just a guitar and his voice. Favourite songs are: Vulnerable, Fall For You, I Hate This Song.


Coldplay
If you wonder what kind of songs change my life, it's Coldplay music. I always thought Britpops are lame but Coldplay showed otherwise. I mean, every song from Coldplay is so full of soul and finely arranged, you can get addicted to them. Their songs appear most in my mind this year. Chris Martin's amazing voice with his wonderful falsetto haunts my head. They said their music is like 'very heavy soft rock'. Couldn't agree more. Here's a pic :-

It's really cool just spending time to intepret their songs, the lyrics are metaphorically beautiful and the melodies can make your head spin. (no kidding) They're really brilliant. Too bad they're gonna split ways by the end of next year. But i'm still Coldplay's biggest fan in Butterworth anyway! Viva!
Favourite songs: The Scientist, Viva la Vida, Yellow, Amsterdam, Fix You, In My Place, Shiver, Speed of Sound, Clocks.

Phew~~it's been quite a weekend. Went Sunway Carnival Mall with guys to sing some k and watched Madagascar2 in which i was the 1st to start laughing before it even starts. =.= Then went to the party organized by Wanxin and it's kinda warm^^ Went Penang today with family. And it's 2.45am now.

Thanksgiving just passed. We don't really celebrate here, but why not? Sure everyone has things to be thankful. So this year i'm thankful for :-

• No fights
• New friends
• Rubik's Cube
• New shoes
• Great performances
• Bad haircuts (which make days with nice haircuts shine more!)
• A good memory of school days

The list goes on and on which would be full of craps.
