As I lie on the bed,
Weeping like there was no yesterday,

Overwhelmed by the sheer beauty in the colours of Life,
Somehow I knew it's gonna be a long, long ride.

As she sat on my bed,
Telling me all about Jack and his seeds,

The talking cat and the red-blue blur,
My naive eagerness to reach California,
She kissed me goodnight.

As we sat on the bed,
Fake rubber planes set to fly,

There were no shooting stars in the plain night sky,
Love ain't such a splendid thing,

Or was I just dissembling the truth?
